A Sarcastic Chemist's Extreme Weight Loss Chronicle

A chronicle of the journey I am taking to become healthy.

Day 346-Brace yourselves, holiday parties are coming

So I’ve got my decorations up tonight, my tree doesn’t have all it’s ornaments on it because I don’t have ornament hooks but it’s a start for my first time ever decorating my own place. It’s not a lot, but it’s something. I’ll go shopping after Christmas again to get more. I’m proud of my Harry Potter flying key from the Sorcerer’s stone.

The holiday season means parties and sweets so it’s going to be hard to resist all the goodness. But I was able to resist diet soda the last couple of days with my parents who are diet coke fiends. So it’s progress. My goal for the rest of the holiday season is to only eat my favorite foods and leave the things I’m not crazy about. Simple and easy is my new mantra.

Tonight I ate at my brother’s and his wife made ham and bean soup, another new food I had never tried. It was really good, I was a fan. She also made a healthy alternative to peanut butter fudge that was really amazing. I’ll have to ask for the recipes so I can post them later on.

Share pictures of your holiday setups on my facebook page, and if you have any healthy recipes for Christmas pass them along!
