How many calories should i have per day if trying to lose weight?
I’m 5’7 and 167 pounds. I’m aiming to lose at least 30 pounds by November. If that seems unrealistic, when should i be expecing to get my weight down? I need to know how many calories i should take in per day if i’m expecting to lose the goal weight. Also, if you have any QUICK and SIMPLE exercises i can do maybe before bed or something, that would be awesome. i don’t have alot of time during the day, especially when school starts up again.

DO NOT EAT BEFORE YOU GO TO BED EVER! drink only water. absolutely not coke or tea, coffee or anything with caffenine. one pound of body fat is 3500 calories. in order to lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. the best way to lose calories is to sweat. so running biking playing sports all that stuff is good. avoid eating sweet foods. weigh yourself at the same time everyday to get acurate weight. i prefer as soon as you wake up. staying motivated and following a diet is the hardest part of trying to lose weight. its also impotant to not burn urself out. start small and work your way up.
Okay so I am the same height as you and used to weigh 180 and now weigh 148. It takes girls longer for girls to lose weight and can get really frustrating but trust me stick with it, it’s definitely worth it. I am very active and ate around 1,500 calories a day which is a lot less than you’re supposed to but I ate a lot of "luigi’s italian ice" which has no calories and fills you up. Also I did the whole mini meals method which basically means you eat 5 small portioned meals a day which keeps up your metabolism and don’t eat within 2 hours of going to bed. If it’s possible I’d recommend exercising in the morning instead of before bed because exercising wakes you up and that’s the last thing you want late at night. But if you do different variations of crunches, is what I found most effective. I have time warner cable and with it come and exercise on demand channel with a lot of different tips and types of exercises that actually work. Also once you start to lose the weight it starts going quick. Then typically you’ll hit a plateau for a little while which is where I am right now and you have to find a new way because your body becomes used to it. Don’t get frustrated while you’re waiting to lose it, It literally took me a month to start losing anything but after that it drops like crazy. Firstly, you really don’t need to lose more than 30 lbs. Mid 130s is a nice healthy midline weight for your height. It’s unlikely you’ll lose it all by November, but you can be well on your way with ease.
Set yourself a balanced diet with a calorie goal of around 1500 daily. It seems like you’re pretty young, so you shouldn’t really go less than that. You’ll need energy to keep your brain going at school, and an even moderately active person should lose weight on that. Definitely don’t listen to anyone who tells you to go less than 1200, because that’s the minimum just to maintain proper organ function.
Spread your eating out as much as you can, into 5-6 smaller meals per day. Include something VERY light about an hour before bed. Some people will tell you not to eat after 6pm, but that give you around 12 hours without food, which screws your body up. Eating more often speeds up your metabolism, so you burn more efficiently, and long periods completely without are counterproductive.
Make sure you’re drinking at least 6-8 cups of water daily, and cut out soda if you drink it. It’s just empty calories.
There is nothing super quick exercise-wise that will help you lose weight. Simple is easy, but you need at least 30 minutes at a stretch of a decent cardio activity to lose weight. You also need to do it at least 4 days per week. If you can do more than the 30 minutes some days, that will speed up the process. Jog/run, bike, swim, power walk if you can keep your heart rate up doing it, use a treadmill or elliptical machine, play basketball, raquetball, etc. Any exercise activity that gets your heart going at 120-160 beats per minute, and which you can maintain at a pace that keeps it there, is a good workout for fat loss. Since you don’t have a lot of time, I won’t bother suggesting any extra toning stuff. If you find you have the time for it later on, you can always check back.

U weig about 170 so u should be eating 1700 cals a day to maintain your weight…maybe more because u naturally burn calories whil ur body is doing daily activites.
Wlkin is the best exercise, but do other muscular exercises…weight training is good 4 the metabolism.
Cut down exercise to like 30 min so u dont overeat later
if u CANNOT control hunger because of exercise…drink a litle bit of coffee or caffein. Not much tho…about half cup before being doctored up(milk, sugr)

Cutting calories is a great plan. I have been doing 1 hour of cardio 3 times per week and i have been eating 1500 calories a day, and i have lost 20 pounds in 2 1/2 months. If you are going to cut calories, make sure that you dont consume less than 1200 calories per day, otherwise your body will go into starvation and if you start eating more you will gain weight in the end.

Theres a few things first. It’s not just about the calories you take in it the ones you use. You need to increase your out put. Park in the far lot for school and work. Use stairs everyday and often. Have a proper Breakfast.
And Don’t Starve your self. Muscle mass requires more energy to maintain then fat, if the body thinks its getting less fuel, it will conserve and store fat. In turn you lose muscle mass and your best way to burn calories and fat. As for an exact calorie count it depends on your out put and the type of calories your getting. As in where are the calories coming from. Is it Mahi Mahi Tacos or Fried Chicken.
About 1500 cals, 2000 is for active people who don’t need to lose weight.
The best ever exercise is walking really but you may try to ride your bike to school instead.

1500 Its not the calories though make sure you eat really healthy lots of veggies lots of fruit and whole grains I would reccomend going a local gym for and hour everyday before or after school. If there is no local gym do 1 hour of exercise every day and on weekends you can take a bike ride for a while or hick or jog. At home you can do jumping jacks, sit ups push ups , at the begging it will be hard, but overtime it will become easier.

so that means you have to burn 105000 calories by november
so right now there is half a month of august left and there is september october
so thats about 75 days
so that would mean each day you would have to burn
1400 calories

thats a bit quick to loose taht much weight…. but try taking in about 1500 calories a day and plenty of water…. also try doing the core rythems workout… ( hip hop dance rutine) it drop weight FAST I lost about 4 incehs in 2 weeks doing it !!!!! and was eating everything in sight!
Eat less and start riding a bike. There are no quick and simple things to do except throwing up after you eat.

The less calories the better. Try doing sit-ups and push-ups with very little rest periods, it will burn some fat.
