Question about exercise and calorie reduction?
I am changing my lifestyle and eating healthy! I’ve completely changed my eating habits. No fast food, fried food, white starches, candy, cake, soda, etc. With this, I am attempting to lose weight. I have reduced my diet to about 1300 cals per day.
My question is: To lose weight-should I try to burn more than the 1300 cals in a day? Or is just burning some of the 1300 cals ok? I’ve started doing about 30-40 minutes of cardio per day (in addition to regular activity like walking, dancing). Can anyone give me insight on what to do to maximize my weight loss?

you should try to burn more than 1300 calories a day. but you already burn a certain amount of calories a day from just doing nothing. once you subtract that amount from 1300 then you should try to burn that much. there are a lot of websites that you can find how much you burn a day.
maybe some weight training would be good since with the intensity it continues to burn calories even after your finished. just get some 5 pound weights and do things like curl-ups, overhead extension, side lateral raises, and stuff like that. im starting a lifestyle change/diet today as well to reach my goal to become a cheerleader so good luck.
No, you don’t have to literally burn 1300 calories, just a portion. Your body burns calories by just being alive, this is called your BMR. There are calculators online that will tell you how many calories your body burns by doing nothing/sleeping by entering your weight. As long as you do the calorie deficit by eating less and working out more, you will lose weight.
