Lowest calorie/carb salad dressings?
I have been following a low GI food plan (reduction of bad carbs) for the past 9 months & it has worked fantastic for me, I eat a healthy balanced diet, but have cut back & eliminated as much of the bad (high Glycemic Index) foods from the diet – One thing I eat alot of and enjoy is salads, and I have been using a regular blue-cheese dressing for this past year which is great on carbs, extremely low, but of course is high in fat and thus calories too – Does anyone who has followed this type of food plan know which salad dressings I could use that would have a combination of very low carbs and also low calories, sugar and fat as well ? Thanks.

Original and reduce Recipe Assignment?
Step 1. Take a favorite recipe that consists of atleast 5 or more ingredients* and list the ingredients, then make 5 columns to the right side of the ingredients (labeled Portion, Calories, Carb Grams, Fat Grams, Protein Grams). Using the food labels on your ingredients or information found online or the table in the back of your textbook record this info for each ingredient in the recipe. You may need to multiply or divide the serving sizes found in your label, or other resource to get to the correct amount used in the recipe. After you have completed this "chart", add up the totals for the Calories, Carb Grams, Fat Grams, and Protein Grams for the full recipe and put this in the bottom row of the chart (going across). Then go back to your recipe and find out how many servings the recipe makes. Make another row going across at the bottom of the chart indicating how many it serves and then listing under the totals what the values would be for Calories/serving, Carb Grams/serving, Fat Grams/serving, and Protein Grams/serving (you will need to divide the totals by how many it serves to get this info).
Step 2. Take the 1st recipe and make it lower in fat and/or sugar (carbs) by making a few significant (meaning there is atleast a 75 calorie reduction/serving) substitutions or reductions. These changes will also make it lower in calories. Beware that too many substitutions can sometimes create a poor product in terms of quality and taste. Once you make the changes to the recipe, follow Step 1 and analyze this healthier recipe.
*Please note: Simple recipes that do not really require a recipe, like "Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches"/"Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches using low-fat peanut butter" will not receive credit. I want a real recipe!

Does anyone know about weight watchers?
I want to do weight watchers without actually joining. I am going to buy the points calculator & the food journal at some point and I was wondering how they come up with the number of points your suppose to get on a daily basis….my friends number is 22 points a day, I could follow that but I was just wondering how they come up with that number. Thanks!
Okay and what about excercise?…If I work out I deduct points which means I can eat more…correct?…Thanks

Good weight loss tips for the winter?
I would run, because I love running in the cold, but where I am there’s lots of ice and snow along the ground.
I would go on the treadmill, but our basement just flooded and that’s where it is,
I would go to the gym, but it’s a far and dangerous walk and our car can’t drive on the ice.
I know it probably sounds like I’m making up excuses, but I would love some other excerises that would help me stay in shape, even possible lose a few pounds, during the holidays.
(I don’t eat fast food, or anything very fatty)
No sarcastic comments, please.
Thank you, & Merry Christmas.
