How do you calculate energy expenditure (calories out)?
I know how to calculate my BMR, and I know how to adjust my calorie intake to reach my goal (weight loss) on the nutrition side of the equation, but as far as workouts, how do you know how many calories are being used for any given exercise, or the various levels of intensity at which any exercise could be performed? Cardio equipment usually lets you know how many you’ve used, but what about weight training and non-machine cardio?

How many calories should I eat after weight loss?
My current goal is to lose about ten pounds (I’m not overweight, just looking to shape up a bit). I used an online calorie calculator that uses your height, weight, age, and activity level to calculate how many calories I should eat to loose 1 pound per week. The result was 1,205. My question, however, involves how many calories I should aim to eat after I lose the weight. The same calculator told me that to maintain the goal weight, I should eat around 1,800 calories! I don’t understand how I could go from eating around 1,200 calories and losing weight to 1,800 and not gain weight. Does this make any sense, or should I try to find another calorie calculator? Any recommendations?

What is the best weight-loss program that doesn't cost small fortune to do?
Let me start this by saying that I understand that the best way to lose weight is through sensible eating and regular exercise, but for me, it’s hard enough just staying on a diet let alone trying to calculate every single calorie that I eat and burn. There are so many little things you can miss when counting your own caloric intake.
I’m the type of person that needs structure, especially when it comes to losing weight. If I have to report to someone on a daily or weekly basis, it’s easier to stay focused and motivated.
I HAVE to lose 40-50 pounds and I need help. The problem is that I’m not wealthy. I went to Lindora and loved their program. I was so excited! For the first time, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel…that was until they told me that it would cost me 00 per session and I’ would need two sessions to get to my goal weight. Light gone. Is there a weight-loss program that is good and affordable? I’m finding they are either or but not both. Help, please!!
