Can anyone help me create an effective weight loss gym/workout plan?
I’m a 20 year old female, 5 foot 5ish (not sure what that is in cm!), and my weight has a tendency to fluctuate slightly but generally sits around 13 stone (182 pounds I think). I’m a UK dress size 14-16 (I see bigger people who weigh less than me all the time…so annoying!)
Please don’t judge me TOO much as I know this is a REALLY bad weight, and as a nursing student trust me I know the risks which is why I’m determined to do something about it.
Whilst on nursing placements I’m forever running around the children’s wards but as soon as I’m back in theory modules at uni I become lazy, and the most exercise I get is shopping or dancing around on nights out (where calories are instantly replaced in the form of wine!).
I’m wanting to start a gym workout but I’m not too sure what direction to head in. I’d like to mix in some weights with a cardiovascular routine to boost weight loss and improve my shape. I tend to hold my fat around my bum/tum/hips, and my legs are quite chunky too. The top half of me is ok but I’d like a more trim shape all over.
Anyone know of a good routine I should try? My gym has most of the machines you’d expect, including offering various exercise classes. Realistically I could attend 3-4 times a week (but if less I’d up the intensity of my workouts when I do go), and I usually like to spend an hour or 2 there.
Any advice would be appreciated – I’ve had them make workout plans for me in the past but they don’t feel challenging enough and after several weeks I still see no results, despite eating well.

40 day water fast for detox and weightloss?
I really would like to embark on a 40 day water fast for weight loss and to detox. After wards I plan on switching to a raw vegan diet. Given the fact that I am changing my eating habits, is water fasting an effective weight loss method?
I would like to lose at least 40 pounds I currently weight 130 and am 5’1.
While on my fast I plan to go on an hour long walk everyday.

Im underweight Help me Please i want to gain MUSCLE (ILL THROW IN ALOTTA POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER)?
Okay im just about 5ft 7inches tall. im 49kg last time i checked (That was like 2 weeks ago) and 4 or 5 months ago i weighed 53kg? something like that..i was over 50kg that’s for sure. Oh yeah! im a 14 year old female. (sounds like im advertising dogs….ANYWAYS)
I know i need to gain weight. but im afraid of gaining FAT. i need to gain muscle! and i need to up my calories which i am working on doing..but the focus of this question is HOW DO I GAIN MUSCLE WEIGHT?
This morning i upped my breakfast by eating a slice of bread and 1/3cup skimmilk yogurt (i think its skim milk..i dont really care but.yeah ANYWAYS)
For Lunch mom and i are gonna make stuffed tomatoes, stuffed with Mushrooms, Carrots, Onion and Pepper. Thing is..i wrote the recipe… mom knows it that though so maybe that doesnt matter.
the other day mom bought some candy and she gave me a piece, wanna know what i did with it? i ate 1/4 the already small bounty bar and gave the rest to my brother…Told you i have Anorexic Tendencies.
I have anorexic tendencies and anytime i have a few days where i eat freely and what i want i always end up dieting for 2 to 4 days AFTER wards inorder to "cut back" on the calories i consumed.
I walk quite alot. when i go to school i have to walk about 15 minutes there from the subway and 15 minutes back from the subway. if i miss either of those 15 minutes i will make my self eat less at dinner which i KNOW i SHOULD NOT do. i cant help it. so what i need you to try and help me do is…
Tell me foods and excersizes that are good for me to gain 5lbs of muscle Minimum.
(also one more thing..should i care what a BMI calculator says? it says my BMI is around 17. you can go ahead and check it out for ur self. My BMI used to be around 18.5)
